Emergency First Aid at work

Emergency First Aid at work Certificate (8 hours).

This first aid training course covers a range of basic lifesaving skills and techniques giving you a comprehensive knowledge base in first aid management.

The skills are delivered through presentations and practical demonstrations with the certificate valid for 3 years.

The course covers the following elements:

• Managing an incident/Role of the First Aider
• Treating the unconscious casualty
• Basic life support/CPR/AED
• Choking
• Bleeding
• Treatment of burns of varying degrees
• Shock
• anaphylaxis
• Common workplace/event injuries
• Common medical emergencies
• Current health and safety regulations and record keeping

Although the certificate is valid for 3 years it is suggested that an annual update is undertaking yearly to ensure that skills are kept up to date and new regulations are covered.
